Is Gary David the answer to that question as he helped the Tigers to finals appearance in the season-opening conference? He is the league’s leading local scorer for the season and No.1 in Statistical Points with an average of 34 SPs per game. He also took the Best Player Award in the Philippine Cup.
Mark Caguioa has been having a phenomenal season despite his team missing the finals berth this season. However, being the winner of the back-to-back Best Player awards for the Commissioner’s Cup and Governors’ Cup, making him a favorite to win the MVP plum. He's No.4 in Statistical Points with an average of 28.2 SPs per game.
Arwind Santos is also pretty much in the thick of things. Don't count the Spiderman out as he is also doing a lot for the Petron Blaze Boosters this season. He's currently at No.2 in Statistical Points with an average of 31.1 SPs per game.
James Yap, who owns two MVP trophies (2006 and 2010), is having an outstanding season and can still do enough to claim the award. He was named finals Most Valuable Player in the import-laden Commissioner’s Cup and No.3 in Statistical Points with an average of 28.8 SPs per game.
