After four straight wins, Smart Gilas lost to Lebanon, 91-72, that gave them a first loss in the on-going 34th Jones Cup basketball competition at the Taipei PE College Gymnasium Thursday.
A poor 3-of-16 three-point shooting performance by the Smart Gilas Pilipinas and an early foul trouble by Marcus Douthit won it for the Middle Eastern team who scored only its second win in six matches.
Smart Gilas will play unbeaten Iran on Friday, August 25 at 3pm. (See Smart Gilas 2012 William Jones Cup Schedule)
