Mark along with other finalists, Takeoff (Groups category), got the bottom 2 lowest text and online votes and the two had to sing-off for survival.
Under the X Factor Philippines rules, the two contestants with the lowest number of votes need to sing before the judges for the save. In case of a tie, the contestant with the lowest number of votes will be eliminated.
The two X Factor judges Ms. Pilita Corrales and Charice Pempengco voted to keep Takeoff while Martin Nievera and Gary Valenciano voted Takeoff to sent home. It's a deadlock, therefore, the basis of elimination was determined by text and online votes and Mark got the lowest vote percentage of 3.72% while Takeoff got 3.90%.
