Modesto Taran along with other finalists, Take-Off (Groups Category), got the bottom 2 lowest text and online votes and the two had to sing-off for survival.
Under the X Factor Philippines rules, the two contestants with the lowest number of votes need to sing before the judges for the save. In case of a tie, the contestant with the lowest number of votes will be eliminated.
However, the three X Factor judges Ms. Pilita Corrales, Gary Valenciano and Charice Pempengco voted to keep Take-Off.
The ABS-CBN's X Factor Philippines Top 8 finalists that will advance and compete in the next week's performance show are the following:

Groups category: Gary Valenciano
Take-Off
Daddy's Home
Boys category: Martin Nievera
Jeric Medina
Gabriel Maturan
Kedebon Colim
Girls category: Charice Pempengco
KZ Tandingan
Allen Jane Sta. Maria
The winner of X Factor Philippines will receive a grand prize worth P4-million including a recording contract.
