Philippines on Wednesday lost its bid to host the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship, which serves as the regional qualifier for the 2014 world championship, with the FIBA Asia executive board voting in favor of Lebanon instead.
FIBA Asia secretary general Hagop Khajirian, a Lebanese, said that FIBA Asia will give the 2013 hosting rights to Philippines if Lebanon declare unpreparedness to do the event.
