Smart Gilas-Pilipinas routs Macau, 98-46

The SMART-Gilas national team played minus naturalized center Marcus Douthit has started strong and never let Macau taste the lead in Monday's 98-46 victory in the FIBA Asia Cup in Tokyo, Japan.

The 6'10" Douthit opted to rest for the entire game as his teammates took care of business easily.

Jeff Chan had another brilliant game pacing the Smart Gilas with 18 points (4/7 3-pt. shooting) while JayR Reyes and Gary David tallied 12 points apiece.

Meanwhile, Matt Ganuelas Rosser almost recorded a triple-double with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists.

Philippines is second behind Lebanon in Group A and will play either Qatar or Chinese Taipei in next round on Thursday.
