4.7 Magnitude Earthquake jolts Ilocos Sur (February 04, 2013)

A magnitude 4.7 earthquake rocked Ilocos Sur at 8:54pm Monday, February 4, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
Phivolcs said the earthquake’s epicenter was located at 17 km North of Sinait, Ilocos Sur.

The quake was tectonic in origin with a depth of 36 kilometers.

Areas with reported various intensities:
Intensity II - Sinait, Ilocos Sur

Phivolcs said aftershocks and damage are not expected from the earthquake.
