The National University (NU) Lady Bulldogs defeated the Far Eastern University (FEU) Lady Tams on Saturday, 59-48, to win the UAAP Season 77 women's basketball crown at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Philippine national men’s basketball team defeated Mongolia in the 2014 Asian Games basketball tournament to clinched the 7th place on Wednesday in Incheon, Korea.

Game Highlights:
- Marcus Douthit only played less than 8-minutes.
- Gilas Pilipinas hitting only 6/20 3-pointers (30%)
- Jimmy Alapag only played 15-seconds.
- LA Tenorio with 2/4 3-pointers and 4 assists
- Jeff Chan contributed 2/5 3-pointers
- June Mar Fajardo played a great game in 16:30 minutes contributed 11 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.

Latest FIBA World Ranking: Gilas Pilipinas now at No. 31


Gilas Pilipinas moved three notches higher in the latest rankings of the international basketball ruling body after the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup. From No. 34, the Philippines rose three spots to No. 31 after Gilas Pilipinas finished 21st out of 24 teams in the world championship.
