New Tropical Storm monitored by PAGASA


Another Tropical Storm was spotted outside of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and is currently being monitored by the PAGASA.

As Bagyong “MARIO” leaves the country, another Low Pressure Area was spotted and is currently being monitored by the PAGASA.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Sunday, September 21, that Tropical Storm “MARIO” has maintained its strength as it continues to move closer to Southern Taiwan.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Saturday, September 20, thatTropical Storm "MARIO" was estimated based on radar and other available data at 137 km northwest of Laoag City. With maximum sustained winds of 95 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 120 kph. It is forecast to move north at 15 kph.

Bagyong “MARIO” Update (September 19, 2014)


The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Friday, September 19, that Tropical Storm “MARIO” was estimated based on all available data at 212 km East of Casiguran, Aurora. With maximum winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 100 kph. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 22 kph.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Friday that a low pressure area (LPA) was estimated at 220 km South of Puerto Princesa City and will continue to bring moderate to occasionally heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms over Palawan while cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas and Mindanao.
