Low Pressure Area spotted off MINDANAO (March 21 - Thursday)


The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that a Low Pressure Area (LPA) has formed off Mindanao.
  
At 4:00 am today (March 21), the LPA was estimated based on all available data at 180 km southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao Del Sur.

PAGASA's weather forecast for today:

The regions of Eastern and Central Visayas, Caraga and Dacao will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occassionally heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flasjfloods and landslides.

Bicol region, the rest of Visayas and of Mindanao will be cloudy with light to moderate rainshowers or thunderstorms. 

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have generally good weather except for isolated thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon.  
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the east to northeast will prevail over the Eastern section of Visayas and of Minadanao and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. 
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast with slight to moderate seas.

Philippine Weather Forecast (March 09, 2013 - Saturday)


There is no tropical cyclone activity in the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) today, March 09, 2013, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).  
The weather bureau said that weak Northeast monsoon affecting the eastern section of northern and central Luzon.

PAGASA's weather forecast for today:



Bicol region and Eastern Visayas will experience cloudy skies with moderate to heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. The rest of Visayas will be cloudy with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Cagayan Valley and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon will have cloudy skies with light rains. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. 

Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over the eastern section of Luzon and coming from the east to northeast over Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast with slight to moderate seas.

There is no tropical cyclone activity in the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) today, March 04, 2013, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).  
The weather bureau said that northeast monsoon affecting Luzon. 

PAGASA's weather forecast for today:


Mindanao will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers or thunderstorms. The Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, Metro Manila, CALABARZON and the provinces of Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon will experience cloudy skies with light rains. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. 

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail over Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao. The coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the Northeast with slight to moderate seas.

The weather bureau said that northeast monsoon affecting Luzon and Eastern Visayas. 

PAGASA's weather forecast for today:
Cagayan Valley and the province of Aurora will experience cloudy skies with light rains. 

Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon and Eastern Visayas will have partly cloudy skies with brief light rains. 

The rest of the country will be partly cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Bagyong "CRISING" Update (February 21 - Thursday)


The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that Tropical Depression "CRISING" continued to move west northwest closer to Southern Palawan.   
The state weather bureau said, as of 4:00 a.m. today (February 21), the center of Tropical Depression "CRISING" was estimated based on all available data at 450 km Northwest of Zamboanga City.

Moving west northwest at 15 kilometers per hour (kph),  Bagyong "CRISING"  is packing winds of 45 kph near the center.




Areas Having Public Storm Warning Signal:

Signal No.1 (45-60 kph winds) as of 4am (February 21 - Thursday):


- Southern Palawan

The weather bureau advised residents living in low lying and mountainous areas under public storm warning signal #1 are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. 

Estimated rainfall amount is from 5 - 15 mm per hour (moderate - heavy) within the 300 km diameter of the Tropical Depression.

Bagyong "CRISING" Update (February 20 - Wednesday)


The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that Tropical Depression "CRISING" has slowed down as it traverses Sulu Sea.  
The state weather bureau said, as of 10:00 a.m. today (February 20), the center of Tropical Depression "CRISING" was estimated based on all available data at 220 km Northwest of Zamboanga City.

Moving west northwest at 19 kilometers per hour (kph),  Bagyong "CRISING"  is packing winds of 45 kph near the center.




Areas Having Public Storm Warning Signal:

Signal No.1 (45-60 kph winds) as of 10am (February 20 - Monday):


- Zamboanga del Norte

The weather bureau advised residents living in low lying and mountainous areas under public storm warning signal #1 are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides.

Bagyong "CRISING" Update (February 19 - Tuesday): 11 Areas under Storm Warning Signal #1


The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that Tropical Depression "CRISING" has maintained its strength and is now over Moro Gulf.  
The state weather bureau said, as of 10:00 pm today (February 19), the center of Tropical Depression "CRISING" was estimated based on all available data at 50 km Southeast of Zamboanga City.

Moving west northwest at 24 kilometers per hour (kph),  Bagyong "CRISING"  is packing winds of 45 kph near the center.



Areas Having Public Storm Warning Signal:

Signal No.1 (45-60 kph winds) as of 10pm:

- Sultan Kudarat
- Maguindanao
- Lanao del Sur
- Lanao del Norte
- Misamis Occidental
- Zamboanga del Norte
- Zamboanga del Sur
- Zamboanga Sibugay
- Basilan
- Sulu
- Tawi-Tawi


Public Storm Warning Signal elsewhere is now lowered.

Low Pressure Area spotted off MINDANAO (February 18 - Monday)


The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that a Low Pressure Area (LPA) has formed off Mindanao.
  
At 4:00 am today (February 18), the LPA was estimated based on all available data at 1,120 km East of Southern Mindanao.

PAGASA's weather forecast for today:
The regions of CARAGA, Davao and SOCCSKSARGEN will experience cloudy skies with moderate to heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. 
Eastern visayas and the rest of Mindanao and will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers or thunderstorms. 
Cagayan Valley, MIMAROPA and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon will be cloudy with light rains. 
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
